Installation of a 375w/ 940kwhr Energy Storage Unit (ESU). Providing energy saving and demand charges.
4 West Red Oak Lane in Harrison is a 5 story, 135,000 square foot office building by GHP Office Realty. The scope of the project was to install a 375w/ 940kwhr Energy Storage Unit (ESU) which not only provides energy savings by shaving peaks off the customers demand charges but also allows participation in Con Edison’s Demand Response Program (DMP) which allows Con Edison to reduce demand on the system by calling on participating customers to reduce demand on an “on-call” basis resulting in additional savings above and beyond the peak shaving benefits.D&M Electrical Contracting, Inc. acted as the prime contractor for the installation of the Energy Storage Unit. D&M provided all site work, conduit and wire installation, crane and rigging services and installation of switchgear as well as protective relay equipment inclusive of programming and testing. The project was completed in less than 60 days turnkey and with minimal disruption to tenants. It’s completion represents one of the largest energy storage installations in a commercial building in New York.
