Studies have shown that Design/Build construction projects are delivered 33.5% faster than traditional design/bid/build projects. When the cumulative benefit of a shorter construction period and an almost 10% reduction in cost over traditional projects are added together the results are clear.
While the D/B delivery method hasn’t reached the popularity it was once predicted to have, we still believe it will be the project delivery method of the future. We constantly encourage design professionals to involve us as early on in the project as possible to create a design which is the most cost-effective to the client, the most constructible to the contractor and above all- fully attentive to the client’s present and future needs. With in-house CAD capabilities and a team of knowledgeable professionals D&M can provide levels of support that other contractors cannot approach. While capable of almost any turnkey electrical project, we are often engaged as subcontractors by many of our competitors to assist in the design and construction of site utilities in many projects throughout the region.
Recently D&M was awarded a design/build contract by Avalon Bay for the relocation of Metro North transmission lines in Harrison, NY. D&M has also entered into partnership with Peak Power Energy of Ontario, CA to provide EPC (Engineer, Procure and Construct) services related to the installation of utility grade energy storage systems
